Job Overview

We are excited to announce the opening of a new Free Standing Emergency Room on Merrill Road, part of HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, opening Fall 2025. We are seeking experienced ER RNs passionate about patient care to join our team.

Role Responsibilities
  • Document nursing notes, including changes in patient condition, transfers, and discharges.
  • Administer medications as per physician orders.
  • Respond to incoming calls and perform phone triage as needed.
  • Manage patient flow across care zones such as triage, rapid treatment, pediatric ER, trauma, and behavioral health.
  • Coordinate ambulance traffic and collaborate with the primary ED attending.
  • Utilize the Emergency Severity Index triage algorithm effectively.
  • Respond to critical needs and serve as a trauma resource nurse.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree or higher).
  • Valid RN license in the practicing state or active Multi-State license.
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred and required within 30 days of hire.
  • Previous ER RN experience required.
Additional Details

This is a full-time, mid-shift position (approximately 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM), with rotating holidays and weekends.
