Wellstar Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for a defined patient population. The RN will perform assessments, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes and cost-effective care.
The role requires 2+ years of RN experience (floor or critical care), Georgia RN licensure or multi-state compact license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP must be obtained within 6 months for select units.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional registered nurse responsible for the nursing care of a defined patient population. Care is provided through the use of the nursing process and in a manner that is cost effective while maintaining quality of care and optimal patient outcomes. The RN performs assessments, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions and evaluates the effectiveness of care. The RN participates in unit based and organizational quality improvement initiatives, meets continuing education requirements, participates in student/new employee orientations/teaching activities, upholds Patient Care Services philosophy and objectives, demonstrates professional growth and development through involvement in professional organizations, reviews professional literature and participates in continuing education programs.
Graduate from an accredited/approved school of nursing and 2 years or more of experience in RN experience in related area (floor or critical care). Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). ACLS, PALS, or NRP (only in select units/departments) must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Current Registered Nursing License (Georgia) or qualifying multi-state compact license.
Bachelor's of Nursing. National specialty certification applicable to area of practice.
