Advocate Health – Mount Pleasant is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Garden and adjacent units in a 24-bed hospital setting. You will participate in patient-centered care for stroke and oncology patients, collaborating with a dedicated team across the continuum of care.

The role involves three 12-hour shifts (0700-1930) with every third weekend rotation and rotating holidays in a full-time position based in Mount Pleasant, WI.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state you practice in.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Where You Will Work

Med/Surge Garden is a 24-bed medical/surgical unit with mixed acuity, specializing in the care of stroke and oncology patients and Med Surg I is a 24-bed acute care unit specializes in medical-surgical, orthopedic, surgical, and trauma care, serving primarily surgical and orthopedic patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios for both Med Surg units are typically 5:1, and nursing assistant ratios are 6-7:1. Our Med Surg units thrive on teamwork, accountability, and a drive for continuous improvement.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
