Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a day shift, full-time Float Pool Registered Nurse to cover various units as staffing needs arise.

The Float RN provides direct patient care, collaborates with the health care team, and adheres to patient safety and nursing standards. Requirements include a current RN license, a high school diploma or GED, BLS within 14 days of hire, and graduation from an accredited nursing program. Previous acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Current RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• The Float RN will go to units that are in staffing need.
• Accountable for the health status and for the health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
