Job summary

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare in Staunton, Virginia, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time evening shifts in a trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment program for adolescent males.

We are a 42-bed facility offering comprehensive benefits, generous paid time off, shift differential, and competitive pay. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time licensed RNs, with meals provided and opportunities for professional growth within the UHS network.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in State of Virginia (or eligible to receive or renew)
• Current BLS certification (can renew as part of New Employee Orientation)
• Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire
• Ability to successfully complete Handle With Care & Verbal De-escalation Crisis Intervention Training
• Ability to use and supervise Handle With Care techniques
• Reflect behavior, attitude, and appearance appropriate to the position and be supportive of the facility and division philosophy, goals, and objectives
• Effectively communicate both verbally and via written documentation

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley -- a region best known for its natural beauty -- in the charming city of Staunton, Virginia. We provide trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment to adolescent males who are experiencing complex emotional, behavioral, and educational difficulties. We are a 42-bed facility and our programs are specifically designed for youth with psychiatric disorders and co-occurring intellectual disabilities. We also specialize in working with young men who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
