Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Iowa to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing setting. The role supports daily operations, administers medications, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and high-quality care.

Shifts include full-time and part-time opportunities on the 2nd shift (2PM-10PM). A competitive wage with shift differentials is offered along with comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN license must be in good standing and Iowa-valid
• CPR certification current and valid
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
