Avoca Specialty Care in Avoca, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for part-time evenings (2PM-10PM) to join our compassionate care team at a 45-bed skilled nursing community.

You will support daily living activities, administer medications, monitor health, and communicate with residents and families. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Empathy, respect, patience, and discretion in care.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and passing medications.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Provide health monitoring by administering medications and conducting routine vital checks.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.
