Job summary

Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness is seeking an RN for the evening shift (2pm-10pm). This full-time role offers opportunities to deliver high-quality nursing care, coordinate resident plans, and participate in interdisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited nursing degree, a current RN license, CPR certification, and flexibility to work evenings. EMR experience is desired and PCC is a plus. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Unencumbered RN license.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience required; PCC experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement community programs, policies and procedures.
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty; record sufficient information for follow-up actions.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, report problems to supervisor and initiate corrective action.
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action immediately.
• Identify resident problems and emergency situations and initiate emergency care per physician orders when physician is unavailable.
• Supervise direct care associates providing resident care.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service classes as assigned.
• Document assessment of residents and report untoward findings to physician and supervisor.
• Observe the 5 RIGHTS of medication/treatment administration.
• Report changes in residents' conditions to physician and Nursing Director; document notifications.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Unencumbered RN license

Proof of current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implementcommunity programs, policies and procedures

• Promptly report changes in residents' conditions to the physician, Director of Nursing Service and responsible party, and take follow-up action as necessary. Document notifications in resident's clinical record.
• Follow Community admission procedures and communicate resident admission to other departments, including rehabilitation
• Competently perform basic nursing skills as per your licensure
• Follow Community discharge /transfer procedure/documentation and coordinate discharge/transfer with other departments, physicians and ancillary service providers
• Supervise response to resident's call for assistance
• Listen to resident, family, or physician concerns and initiate corrective action and/or report concerns to Nursing Supervisor.
