Job summary

The Emergency Room Nurse at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX will provide compassionate, high‑quality care during night shift, PRN assignments, coordinating with the ED team to triage, assess, and treat patients. Qualified candidates hold an active RN license, graduate of an accredited nursing program, and current BLS; ACLS and PALS are preferred, with NIHSS and TNCC within required timelines.

Previous acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Nurse will be accountable for the health status and for health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS)
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months
