Job summary

Advocate Health's University City Endoscopy unit in Charlotte, NC seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced team supporting endoscopy suites, PACU and procedure rooms. You will deliver and coordinate comprehensive patient care with emphasis on safety, education, and compassionate care for both inpatients and outpatients.

Required: accredited nursing program completion, state RN license, BLS certification; endoscopy/procedural care experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the practicing state.
• BLS certification required by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Maintain safety and quality care in endoscopy, preop and postop areas.

Where You Will Work:

University City Endoscopy is part of a group of facilities that service the north market endoscopy. We are a growing fast-paced team that supports both University City, Lake Norman hospital and two ambulatory procedural endoscopyunits. Teammates work together in the endoscopy suites in preop, postop, and the procedure room alongside physicians. We do general GI endoscopy, some advanced GI, Bronchoscopies, and cardioversions. Theunitfocuses on strong teamwork, patient education, and safety, caring for inpatients and outpatients.We take pride in the care we give to our patients and this is a great place to join a wonderful team!

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous endoscopy, PACU, procedural care experience strongly preferred for this role

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
