Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Endoscopy with FT 8:30a-6p, 9 hour shifts. The clinical nurse partners with families to provide comprehensive care and supports patient outcomes in a safe environment.

Education: Accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Licensure: Ohio RN license and current BLS required. Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care; procedural experience preferred. Strong multitasking, organization, and communication skills are essential.

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Valid Ohio RN license
• Current BLS certification required at the time of hire
