Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Endoscopy department. The role requires 9-hour shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a compact but intense schedule in a fast-paced endoscopy setting.

The RN will partner with patients and families to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support, while collaborating with the inter-professional team to deliver safe, high-quality care. Ohio RN licensure and BLS certification are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Ohio RN license and current BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital RN experience; procedural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a diverse caseload within the Endoscopy department.
• Collaborate with inter-professional team to ensure patient safety and outcomes.
• Advocate for patients, families and significant others; promote autonomy and education.
• Maintain compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and regulatory standards.

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
