Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a mid-shift full-time schedule (11-11/12-12). A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered with a two-year commitment.

The RN will care for diverse patient populations, maintain required licensure (RN in Kentucky) and BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. The hospital offers comprehensive benefits, career growth, and Lifepoint Health network support to foster exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient populations served: Neonate to Older Adult.
• Protect PHI: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Medical Records.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens for all employees.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• Regular exposure to biological/chemical hazards and hazardous medications.

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
