Job summary

Lifepoint Health Riverview in Carthage, TN is seeking an RN for Emergency Services on a PRN basis. Join a team focused on collaborative care and compassionate patient service in a 25-bed setting connected to Lifepoint Health.

Provide direct patient care in the ED using the nursing process, adhere to scope and standards, and work with the Director/Manager. RN license in state, BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred. Demographics include all ages from neonate to older adult.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Report to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Adhere to scope and standards of practice.
• Care for patients across Neonate to Older Adult populations.

How you'll contribute

Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Essential Functions Additional Information

Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.

Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Qualifications and requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
