The licensed registered nurse is responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Must demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions with patients, families, visitors, and staff, regardless of cultural background.

Qualifications
  • Education, Credentials, Licenses: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, licensed to practice in the state where work is performed. Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-mandated courses. Education should prepare nurses for clinical practice in the assigned area.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies, and competence in medication calculations. Capable of performing safe nursing skills and procedures independently.
  • Experience: Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation. Ability to critically think and problem-solve in routine and emergency situations.
