Job summary

Quorum Health Corporation is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY. This PRN, on-site position offers exposure to ED-level care and rapid patient turnover.

You will coordinate care, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and educate patients and families; requires ADN, KY license, BCLS and ACLS; teamwork and initiative essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Kentucky; current BCLS and ACLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Job Summary:

• You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• You will perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the Registered Nurse (RN)
• You will assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.
• You will teach patients and families to understand conditions, medications and self-care skills.
