Job summary

AdventHealth East Orlando Emergency Department in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) to deliver comprehensive patient care in a high-volume ED. You will assess, plan, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate across teams in a faith-based health system that emphasizes compassionate care.

Requirements include an Associate of Science in Nursing, Florida RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required.
• RN licensure in Florida or multistate license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and plan individualized care.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize care.
• Document care activities and outcomes accurately in medical records.

Job Description: Up to $15,000 Sign-on Bonus and up to $3,000 Relocation Assistance available to eligible candidates (see terms below)

*Terms: 12-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation Sign-on Eligibility: Candidate must have one (1) year of applicable experience. Unit Highlights: The East Orlando Emergency Department has 80 treatment areas and sees over 104,000 patients each year, ranging from infants to geriatric. AdventHealth East Campus Emergency Department is an academic medical center providing Post Graduate training for Physicians (3 medical residencies). Our ED is also a clinical training environment for Nurses and Ancillary Support Personal. Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

What You Need to Succeed:
