Job summary

Texas Health Frisco is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. Full-time nights, 36 hours/week, with rotating weekends and holidays. Candidates should have a nursing degree (Diploma/Associate) and RN licensure; BSN preferred.

1 year ED RN experience is required or completion of an RN residency; strong ED skills and certifications are highly valued. Apply to join a team-focused environment with opportunities for growth, self-scheduling, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma in nursing required or
  • Associate’s degree in nursing required or
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience as a registered nurse required or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 2 years of experience as an RN in an ED acute care setting strongly preferred; completion of ED residency a plus
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required and
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required and
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days and
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days required and
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days and
  • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required
  • NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program if floating to Mother baby within 90 days required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
