Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Pasco, WA. This full-time union position features 3x12-hour evening/mid shifts from 3p to 3a and a wage scale of $42.14–$78.11 per hour, plus a $10,000–$20,000 commitment incentive.

Applicants must hold a state RN license with a BSN or ADN and ACLS/BCLS/PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire. 1–3 years ED experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
• 1–3 years RN Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration and treatments.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to care team and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collaborate across disciplines for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Provide patient education tailored to age and culture.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

How you'll contribute

You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing. A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire
• 1 to 3 years of RN Emergency Department experience preferred
