Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, part of Inova Health System, is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join the Emergency Dept in Virginia. Eligible nurses may qualify for sign-on and relocation bonuses. Full-time evening shift (1p-1a or 3p-3a) with orientation rotating through all shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of RN clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing; ADN nurses must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in Virginia as an RN.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable clinical practice and care coordination.
• Conduct patient care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Job Description

Inova Mt Vernon Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join our Emergency Dept. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full-Time, Evening shift (1p -1a OR 3p -3a). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.

• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience:Requires a minimum ofone yearof Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting..
• Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License:Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• Certification:BLS from American Heart Association
  • Proficient in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
  • Proficient computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strongly prefer 2 year plus of ED RN experience.
