The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with established standards and procedures.

Responsibilities include applying evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication to ensure the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
• 6 months of RN experience (minimum)
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Where You Will Work:

Atrium Health University City Emergency Department provides 24-hour emergency medical services to the University City and surrounding communities. From broken bones and severe cuts to heart attacks and strokes, we are prepared to provide patients of all ages the highest level of emergency care. Our expert staff includes physicians who are board-certified in emergency medicine. Plus, we are backed by the breadth and depth of Carolinas Medical Center, the region’s only Level I Trauma Center.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

• ACLS required within 6 months of hire

• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
