Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Chattooga SAED in rural Georgia is hiring a skilled RN for its 9-bed ED. You will deliver and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to ensure safe, therapeutic care in line with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Open 24/7, the department stabilizes and treats life-threatening conditions and arranges transfers to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center or other facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Emergency Room experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and a positive experience across the continuum.

The facility provides comprehensive emergency evaluation, stabilization, and treatment for patients experiencing illness or injury. For patients requiring advanced care—such as those with traumatic or life-threatening conditions, transfers can be arranged to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center or another appropriate facility via Atrium Health Floyd Emergency Medical Services or by air ambulance.

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Emergency Room experience is preferred
