Job description

West River Health Services is a trusted healthcare provider serving the rural community of Hettinger, North Dakota. Our Emergency Department (ED) is dedicated to providing timely and compassionate care to patients in urgent medical situations. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department (ED) team at West River Health Services. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to patients with urgent medical needs. Your expertise, quick thinking, and compassionate approach will be essential in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients in emergency situations.

Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on the severity of their medical needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team to ensure understanding and collaboration in the delivery of care.
- Participate in emergency response protocols and procedures, including trauma care and resuscitation efforts.
- Assist in the stabilization and transfer of patients requiring higher levels of care to appropriate facilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.

Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of North Dakota.
- Completion of an accredited RN program (ADN, Diploma, BSN).
- Previous experience in an Emergency Department or critical care setting preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in rapid assessment, intervention, and decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
