Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse in our eHospital Telemetry Department to provide competent nursing care, monitor telemetry rhythms, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate plans of care. The RN will work in-house in the telemetry monitoring room and support patient care decisions during nights.

The ideal candidate will hold a nursing license, have a nursing degree or diploma, and possess 3 years of nursing experience with ICU preferred.

Position Overview

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

In this role you will be working in-house in the telemetry monitoring room monitoring telemetry rhythms, providing feedback and guidance, and working with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate plans of care.

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Registered nursing License (Required)
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience

• 3 years’ nursing experience required. Preference is a candidate with ICU experience
