Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Educator in Valley Park, Missouri to provide Diabetes and Nutritional education for inpatients and outpatients. You will maintain a caseload and promote program development within a multidisciplinary ambulatory services environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of RN experience with Diabetes exposure; CDCES is preferred. Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm; no call, weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing/Nutrition/related field.
• Experience: ≥2 years (the role requires at least 2 years of RN experience with Diabetes exposure).
• Licenses & Certifications: RN license; CDCES preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patients’ response and modifies plan of care accordingly.
• Provides accurate documentation as required.
• Delivers direct patient care by assessing and evaluating patients’ physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their condition.
