University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center's ED is seeking a New Grad RN to join a 35-bed Level 3 trauma ED. You will provide age-specific nursing care and participate in a nurse residency program to ease transition to practice.

The department emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and ongoing education, with opportunities for loan repayment and tuition assistance for future growth.

Qualifications

  • Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Ohio RN license not required to be considered; must obtain license if offered.
  • BSN preferred.

A Brief Overview – UH Elyria Medical Center – ED

The UH Elyria Medical Center – ED is a 35 bed level 3 trauma center. Dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care to adult and pediatric patients. This Emergency Department is the second busiest in the UH system and our location is the farthest UH hospital to the west.

  • Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are:

  • Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
License & Certification Requirements
  • An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
  • Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.

  • Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
