Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, invites applications for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The RN will perform rapid assessments aligned with patient presentation, age and cultural needs, ensuring timely, accurate care in a high-acuity setting.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of Emergency or Critical Care experience, a current California RN license, and required certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS); NIHSS within 5 days of hire and CPI within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • One (1) year Emergency or Critical Care experience in an acute care facility.
  • Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) certifications required.
  • NIHSS required within first week (5 days) of hire.
  • CEN encouraged.
  • CPI certified within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • The Emergency Department Registered Nurse performs assessments appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner. Performs assessments completely and accurately including, but not limited to, physical (i.e. assessment for pain, skin breakdown, risk for falls), psychological (i.e. cognitive and communicative skills or development), social status and other patient needs.
