Job description

Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs must be ready to care for patients when they need us most. In addition to providing specialized and innovative services, we need our ED RNs to be equipped to handle an array of emergency situations for patients of all ages. Our Emergency Department (ED) nurses are trained in dealing with a variety of trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions. Ideal prospective ED RNs must be able to quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions and be able to prioritize their injuries and medical needs accordingly.

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• BLS-AHA
• ACLS
• Telemetry
• PALS
• NIHSS
• CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• Strong experience with Stroke, Sepsis, STEMI patients required
• Ability to work in a FAST-PACED, high patient acuity Emergency Department
• Experience managing up to 220 patient volume per day
• Ability to see up to 20 stroke patients per shift
• Float within department - ED Adult, Peds, IMC

Schedule Notes

Shift: 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM. Every other weekend required. Holidays as needed. 13-week assignment. Limited RTO. Requires 2 years of ED experience with strong background in Stroke, Sepsis, STEMI. The ED handles high patient volume, up to 220 patients per day, with up to 20 stroke patients per shift. Float within department - ED Adult, Peds, IMC.
