Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ED at our Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. This travel/contract position requires you to float to other units and hospitals, with 36 or 48 hours per week.

You'll join a 54-bed Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center, providing patient care across all ages 24/7, while maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios from 1:1 to 1:3-4 depending on acuity.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a large hospital setting; trauma experience required.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• Active RN license in Alabama or a Compact license.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS and additional certs (on-site) required.
• TNCC and SECURE on-site certifications listed; NIH and Red Cross also noted.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED nursing care to all age groups in a Level III trauma center.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed; 36 or 48 hours weekly.
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios from 1:1 to 1:3-4 based on acuity.

Position Description

Travel: ED RN

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week.

HOLIDAYS AS REQUIRED. EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.

Our Emergency Departments offer comprehensive emergency medical services to all age groups and staffed 24/7 by a highly trained team to meet the needs of the community.

Our ED team is composed of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

Our Regional Medical Center Emergency Department is a 54bed state designated Level III Trauma Center as well as a Level II Stroke Center.

The Regional Medical Center ED treats more than 60,000 patients per year.

Our Nurse to Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 with our critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 on all other patients.

• Associated degree in nursing

• AHA ACLS
• AHA BLS
• AHA PALS
• OR RED CROSS
• NIH

Certifications – Required

Licenses – Required

• Registered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)
• NURSYS

Experience - Required:

• 2 years experience; working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 2 year of experience in a large hospital setting. Trauma experience required.
