Job summary

West Anaheim Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while guiding patient education and supervising other nursing staff in the DOU.

The role requires an active RN license, basic life support, and a commitment to privacy and high-quality care in a busy acute-care setting. This is a full-time position with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Current State RN license required.
• Critical care experience or coursework preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation knowledge within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care; CCU/ICU preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care and assist in patient/family teaching while maintaining standards of care in the DOU.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; communicate with physicians about changes in condition.

Responsibilities

he Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

1. 1. Current valid State Registered Nurse License.
2. 2. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
3. 3. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
4. 4. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
5. 5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
6. 6. Minimum of one-year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
7. 7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
