Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required). Dialysis Nurses oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.

Qualifications

• RN License in the state you are applying
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification preferred initially, required after 90 days of employment. Assistance available to obtain ACLS!
• ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
• Nephrology Nursing Certification (NNCC) preferred but not required.
