Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our acute care team in Palmdale, CA. You will work closely with nephrology practitioners to deliver high-quality dialysis care and support patient education and safety.

Applicants should be a licensed RN with a BSN or AA in nursing and have strong communication and teamwork skills; dialysis experience preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved nursing program with a current RN license.
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in nursing required.
Preferred 1–2 years of dialysis nursing experience.
Current BCLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide dialysis-related care in collaboration with nephrology team.
Monitor patient status and adjust treatment as directed.
Coordinate with dieticians, social workers, and vascular access teams.

Position Summary

The Dialysis RN works with Nephrology medical practitioners to provide high-quality care to patients in need of dialysis related therapy. The Dialysis Nurse collaborates closely with medical practitioners, dieticians, social workers, and vascular access departments to meet dialysis patient care needs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE

Experience: Graduate of an approved Bachelor or Associate school of nursing and a current state license to practice nursing.
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Preferred 1-2 years of nursing experience with a minimum of 1-2 years in Dialysis nursing.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
Must have basic computer knowledge and must be able to safely operate dialysis machines.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

Current RN License required. BCLS certification is required. Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) and ACLS certification preferred.
