Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Dialysis RN to collaborate with nephrology teams and provide high-quality dialysis care.

Responsibilities include working with medical practitioners, dietitians, social workers, and vascular access to meet patient needs. Current RN license in California and BCLS required; CNN/ACLS preferred. Weekend coverage may be required; hospital benefits and retirement plan available.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Bachelor or Associate degree in nursing and a current state license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of dialysis nursing experience.
  • Current CA RN license and BCLS certification required; CNN/ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality dialysis care in collaboration with nephrology team.
  • Coordinate with dietitians, social workers, and vascular access staff to meet patient needs.
  • Ensure patient safety and maintain dialysis equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient education.

Position Summary

The Dialysis RN works with Nephrology medical practitioners to provide high-quality care to patients in need of dialysis related therapy. The Dialysis Nurse collaborates closely with medical practitioners, dieticians, social workers, and vascular access departments to meet dialysis patient care needs.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE
  • Experience: Graduate of an approved Bachelor or Associate school of nursing and a current state license to practice nursing.
  • Education:
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of nursing experience with a minimum of 1-2 years in Dialysis nursing.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge and must be able to safely operate dialysis machines.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
  • Current RN License required. BCLS certification is required. Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) and ACLS certification preferred.
