Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. through Summit Oaks Hospital in Summit, New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time position. The role runs 7am–7pm, 3 days per week (36 hours) with opportunities to cover additional shifts.

Requirements include NJ RN licensure (BSN preferred), 1 year psychiatric nursing (or 2 years medical/surgical with leadership), CPR, NLN accreditation and PMHRN certification preferred. A $12,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN licensure.
• BSN or BS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year psychiatric nursing, or 2 years medical/surgical with leadership and strong clinical skills.
• NLN accredited program preferred.
• ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to medical needs of patients under physician guidance.
• Conduct safety checks and implement behavioral management techniques.
• Monitor, document patient behaviors and overall wellbeing.
• Administer medications and treatments under the guidance of the treatment team.
• Maintain the core values and mission of Summit Oaks Hospital.

This is a Full Time position from 7am - 7pm, 3 days a week, 36 hours a week. There is opportunity to cover various shifts and pick up overtime if interested. This position qualifies for a $12,000 Sign on Bonus.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

• Current New Jersey RN licensure; BSN/BS preferred.
• Minimum requirements are one (1) year of psychiatric nursing experience, or two (2) years of medical/surgical experience with proven leadership, strong clinical skills, and high motivation.
• Graduate of NLN accredited program preferred.
• ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.
