Job summary

You will administer meds, monitor treatments, document care, and collaborate with physicians, while helping orient new staff and uphold infection control policies.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Idaho and has strong English reading/communication; previous long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current active RN license in Idaho (state of employment).
• Must be able to read, analyze and interpret English-language information.
• Full range of body motion including lifting and transferring patients.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/push 50 lbs.
• Good vision and hearing or aids to perform essential tasks.
• Long-term geriatric nursing care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent on individual treatments per policy.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs.
• Notify physician of refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room tidy and compliant with storage rules.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing staff.
• Practice infection control and safety policies.

Registered Nurse - Part Time Days

What you'll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly/disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for:

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
• Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
