Job summary

Care Initiatives Avoca Specialty Care in Avoca, IA, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time day shifts (6AM-6PM) to provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.

You will support daily clinical operations, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, and other team members to ensure high-quality care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing; Iowa license or ability to activate in Iowa.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Strong commitment to empathy, respect, patience and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
