Kingwood Pines Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care for psychiatric patients across age groups, including child, adolescent, geriatric, and those with chemical dependency. The role uses the nursing process to assess needs, diagnose, plan, and evaluate care, and administer medications under physician orders.

Responsibilities include leading staff, assessing patient status, contributing to treatment plans, documenting care and responses, and applying crisis intervention

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas required.
• Minimum of one year related experience required; psychiatric nursing preferred.
• CPR and Crisis Intervention training completed prior to starting.
• Hours: Day Shift 7 AM - 7 PM with rotating weekends.
• $3,000 Sign-On Bonus

Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
