Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the 5N Medical Telemetry unit in Wilmington, DE. The nurse will work day shifts (7a–7p) with holidays and weekends per department guidelines, caring for up to five medical patients per shift and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes relationship‑based care with patients and families, focusing on education, safety, and preserving function in adults 18+.

Qualifications

• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility is required.
• BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
• One year of RN experience is required.
• One year of medical‑surgical experience as an RN is preferred.
• BLS required.

Day Shift (Hours: 7a-7p) - Holidays and Weekends - per the department guidelines.

Christiana Care Wilmington Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our 5N Medical Telemetry Unit.

• RN assists in managing 5 medical patients per shift and works with an interdisciplinary team that includes a unit-based Nurse Practitioner, attending and consulting physicians, a pharmacy, a physical therapist, and other assistive personnel.
• RN delivers care that supports adult patients facing acute illnesses. The patient population is adults, typically ages 18 and above. The unit's focus is on maintaining function, providing education, and maintaining safety.
• RN will engage in a relationship‑based care model, building relationships with patients, families, and peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.

Unit

5N is a medical telemetry unit with private & semi‑private rooms caring for patients with diagnoses affecting all systems: Pneumonia, COPD, HF, Stroke, change in mental status, diabetes, wounds, UTI, Pancreatitis, stoke, cellulitis. It is a team atmosphere that provides a wide variety of learning experiences in a fast‑paced environment.

Education & Requirements

• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
• BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
• One year of experience as an RN is required.
• One year of medical‑surgical experience as an RN is preferred.
• BLS required.

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
