Job summary

Millwood Hospital, a UHS facility in Arlington, TX, is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) to coordinate and evaluate patient care with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires nursing education and Texas RN licensure, with CPR and CPI training expected before patient contact.

Qualifications

• CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint before working with patients.
• Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaboration with health team members.
• Attend full hospital and departmental orientations.
• Provide care in assigned units with rotating 12-hour shifts; weekends required.

Millwood Hospital (a UHS Facility) is a 134-bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Millwood’s caring, and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX in the heart of the city. It is 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys. The hospital is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Must be available to attend the Full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: Monday -Friday (8 AM - 5 PM); Week 2: Monday – Wednesday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Typical Work Hours

Day Shift (PICU, ADULT/GERO, OR KIDS)

Rotating Weeks - 12 hour shifts

6:45 am - 7:15 pm

Weekends Required (days vary)
