Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX, is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) for night shifts on the Adult Geropsychiatric unit. In this role you will rotate 12-hour shifts from evening to early morning, with weekends required.

You will coordinate patient care, participate in team rounds, and uphold CPI and service excellence standards. Minimum 2 years in a psychiatric facility is preferred; a valid Texas RN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Experience in a psychiatric health-care setting is preferred (2+ years).
• Current Texas RN license by the Texas Board of Nursing.

Responsabilités

• Provide and coordinate patient care in collaboration with the health team.
• Prescribe, coordinate, and evaluate patient care per nursing process and standards.
• Attend hospital and departmental orientations; participate in CPI and Service Excellence Training.

The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Must be available to attend the Full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: Monday -Friday (8 AM - 5 PM); Week 2: Monday – Wednesday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Typical Work Hours:

Night Shift (ADULT GERO UNIT)

Rotating Weeks - 12 hour shifts

6:45 pm - 7:15 am

Weekends Required (days vary)

Qualifications

Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint before working with patients. Successful completion of CPI training and Service Excellence Training before working with patients. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.
