Job summary

Highpoint Health Sumner is seeking an experienced RN for the Pulmonary MedSurg unit (A4). This PRN position offers exposure to a variety of patient conditions and a collaborative team environment dedicated to high-quality care.

The unit emphasizes professional growth, ongoing learning, and supportive mentorship for both new graduates and seasoned nurses in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee or Multi-State RN licensure.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) current on hire.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on Pulmonary MedSurg (A4) unit, including COPD, pneumonia and other pulmonary conditions.
• Collaborate with the care team to plan and deliver patient-centered care.
• Support learning and growth for both new graduates and experienced nurses.

How you\'ll contribute

Pulmonary MedSurg (A4) Unit at Highpoint Health is a 24-bed unit specializing in the care of patients with pulmonary diseases. In addition to pulmonary conditions, the unit provides exposure to a variety of other patient disease processes, offering a broad spectrum of medical-surgical care.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.

Additional requirements include:

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Handle with Care preferred.
