Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking RN professionals for a Critical Care Regional Float Pool. This internal resource pool requires flexibility to float to ICU and IMC units across at least three MedStar sites in the region.

Eligible candidates have ICU/critical care experience and a strong RN license. The role supports multiple hospital campuses with PRN scheduling, including weekend and night shifts, and offers generous nursing benefits and relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• 2+ years of RN experience; 2+ years in Critical Care strongly preferred.
• Experience as a travel nurse or across multiple healthcare organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float to ICU and IMC units at least three MedStar sites.
• Provide PRN coverage and support to critical care teams.

Critical Care Regional Float Pool (Internal Resource Pool)

Float to ICU and IMC units atleast three of the following sites:

• MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center
• MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital
• MedStar Harbor Hospital
• MedStar Montgomery Medical Center
• MedStar Union Memorial Hospital

Pay Summary

• $50/hour Base Pay
• Hourly Scheduling incentive
• Hourly Charge/Preceptor Pay

PRN Requirements:

• Four 12-hour shifts per 6-week schedule
• Two of the 4 shifts are weekend or night shifts per 6-week schedule
• 1 holiday a year
• 1 hard-to-fill shift per year

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 2+ years of RN experience required; 2+ years of Critical Care RN experience strongly preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred.
• The ideal candidate will have worked as a travel nurse or multiple healthcare organizations.
