Fairview is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Critical Care Float Pool at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. As a Critical Care Float Pool RN, you will float to the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. Occasionally, you may also float to Cardiac Telemetry, Surgical, Orthopedic, Medical, Observation, and Oncology units. There may be opportunities to cross-train in additional areas as needed.

This position is 0.75 FTE, totaling 60 hours over two weeks, working night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with every third weekend rotation.

The starting pay rate is $41.69 per hour. Candidates with more experience or higher degrees may be offered a higher rate.

• $2.00 extra per hour for weekend shifts
• $4.00 extra per hour for night shifts
• $2.00 extra per hour for being in the float pool

Responsibilities:

• Provide culturally sensitive care respecting patient and family diversity, autonomy, dignity, and rights.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for each patient.
• Organize, assign, and supervise duties of team members as a team leader.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient, family, and facility information.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• MN RN License
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
• 1 year of IMC Float Pool experience or 2-3 years of acute care nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN or higher degree
• Experience with IV starts, medical code response, and working in Emergency Department, ICU, or Progressive Care Unit

Additional Requirements:

• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire

Compensation:

The hourly pay range is $41.69 to $69.38, depending on qualifications and experience. Pay equity is a priority in our organization.
