Lexington Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for its Critical Care Unit. The unit provides Intensive and Intermediate care with a dedicated charge nurse and advanced monitoring capabilities.

Nurses will care for patients on ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and IV drips, following protocols and order sets to ensure high-quality outcomes. Qualified applicants will have completed an accredited nursing program, hold an NC RN license, and possess BLS certification, with over one year of RN

Qualificações

• Must have completed an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• More than 1 year of RN experience.

Where You Will Work:

The Critical Care Unit at Lexington Medical Center is a 16-bed unit that provides both Intensive and Intermediate Care. A dedicated charge nurse supports the unit without a patient assignment. The unit is equipped to monitor and trend heart rhythms and other hemodynamic pressures.Care of patients on ventilators, noninvasive ventilation with BiPAP or CPAP, and heated high flow oxygen delivery. Titrating medication IV drips to ordered parameters and the ability to follow protocols and order sets. Patient populations include sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, DKA, HHS, electrolyte abnormalities that require close monitoring, COPD, CHF, pulmonary edema, cardiac dysrhythmias, stroke, post-surgical unstable patients, hypertensive emergency that requires IV drips, overdose, ETOH detox, etc.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
