Unit Details

The Neuroscience ICU uses a teamwork model to provide high-level care. It is recognized as the preferred Neuroscience institution in the area and is a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, offering opportunities for academic and teaching growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement, evaluate, and revise interdisciplinary care plans for patients in collaboration with the healthcare team and families.
• Communicate care plans effectively and establish care priorities based on patient assessments.
• Provide clear treatment instructions to patients and involve families in ongoing care.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral, psychological, or cultural patient needs.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork.
• Accurately document nursing care and evaluations per hospital policies.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for new and float staff.
• Engage in personal and professional development, contributing to peer growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school
• Minimum Associate's Degree; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current Ohio RN license
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications
