About University Of Cincinnati Medical Center

Located on the Clifton Campus, UC Medical Center has served Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for nearly 200 years. It offers advanced medical care, conducts groundbreaking research, and houses Greater Cincinnati's only Level I adult trauma center.

Unit Details

The Neuroscience ICU utilizes a teamwork model, providing high-acuity care. It is a Level 4 Epilepsy Center and the region's first comprehensive stroke center.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, implement, evaluate, and revise interdisciplinary care plans for patients.
  • Communicate care plans effectively to team members and families.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients and involve families in care.
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral, psychological, or cultural needs.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, accountability, and flexibility.
  • Document nursing care accurately and concisely.
  • Mentor new staff and contribute to professional development.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum Associate's Degree; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Current Ohio RN License.
  • Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
