Job description

UC Health is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse (CN I) for the Integrated Medicine 8 South unit at UC Medical Center. This position is for a variable shift.

The Integrated Medicine Nurse will support the Medical Center's medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care, and according to policy and procedures. This 14-bed unit has ratios ranging from 4 to 6 patients per nurse. The nurse will help manage liver patients (pre and post-transplant), cystic fibrosis patients, many off-service patients, and some behavioral health components with medical needs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Associate’s Degree, minimum required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
  • Current OH RN License

  • Accurately documents nursing processes, including evaluations, in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Acts as a resource and mentor for new staff, floaters, and supplemental personnel on the unit.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal professional development and contributes to the growth of peers and colleagues.
