Job description

UC Health is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse (CN I) for the Med Surg 7 Northwest unit for the Night Shift at UC Medical Center.

The Med Surg Nurse will support the Medical Center's medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care, and according to policy and procedures. This 28-bed unit has ratios ranging from 4 to 6 patients per nurse. Patients may have Internal Medicine diseases, Congestive Heart Failure, Renal disease, Respiratory illnesses, etc.

1. Most patients are admitted from the Emergency department and other transfers from Step Down/ICU units. There is also some cardiac and respiratory monitoring (telemetry).
