Job description

UC Health is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for the Ortho Trauma unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus!

This 28-bed Ortho Trauma Unit specializes in treating patients with severe and multiple fractures, non-healing fractures, bone infections, and other complex conditions. It also supports patients recovering from elective orthopedic surgeries such as Total Knee Replacements, Total Hip Replacements, Total Shoulder Replacements, and Spine surgeries. Patients are admitted from the ER, SICU, and PACU. The unit follows clinical pathways for elective surgeries, with typical discharges within 2-3 days, focusing on post-surgical recovery aspects like mobility, intake/output monitoring, and pain management.

The RN Supervisor is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient patient flow, customer service, and supervising nursing staff. They will provide input on staff evaluations, assist with cost containment, and manage staff effectively. Leadership skills and strong interpersonal communication are essential.
