Union Hospital in Elkton, Maryland, a part of Christiana Care Health System is seeking an RN to work in the 12 bed Clinical Decision Unit team. In this position, you will work in various units and learn valuable skills.
Hours: This position is 24 hours per week, Night Shift. While shift is predominately 7p-7a, person selected needs to be flexible for assistance with Day shift. Weekend and Holiday requirements per the guideline of the department.

Job Summary: The nurse uses the standards of practice and professional performance with assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to the Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
The staff nurse is a licensed RN who is responsible for providing safe, effective nursing care to patients using the nursing process and aligning with accepted standards of progressive care nursing and the policies and procedures of Union Hospital. The RN administers monitors, and documents medications and treatments within the scope of practice. The RN monitors and reports expected and adverse reactions to treatments, procedures and medications. The RN provides individualizing care, collaborating with patient, family and doctor. The RN is responsible for coordinating and giving to the commitment of providing a safe and secure unit for patient care. This job requires employees to demonstrate initial and annual proficiencies in order to remain in the position.
